The Executive Office of the President registered the domain aliens.gov early Wednesday morning, leaving the site blank and offering no official explanation. A domain-monitoring bot detected the move, which was first reported by 404 Media. When asked about it, White House Principal Deputy Press Secretary Anna Kelly told reporters to ‘stay tuned,’ accompanied by a smiling alien emoji.
The registration follows a Truth Social post by President Trump last month directing the Defense Department and other federal agencies to begin releasing government files related to alien life, unidentified aerial phenomena, and UFOs. That announcement came after a viral podcast clip of Barack Obama making an offhand remark about aliens being ‘real.’
The Pentagon‘s All-Domain Anomaly Resolution Office currently holds over 2,000 active UAP cases. Former AARO director Sean Kirkpatrick has said he expects any file release to contain ‘no new revelations.’
